Emergency Transport: why supporting Pobic's Emergency Transport is needed today more than ever

People continue to die in Ukraine, even though the evening news no longer talks about it.

In recent days, Ukraine has been hit by the most massive wave of Russian attacks since the beginning of the conflict: between June 29 and July 3, hundreds of drones and missiles struck civilian infrastructure, hospitals, residential areas, and rescue sites. In Odesa, Kryvyi Rih, Poltava, and the Kherson region, the raids caused civilian casualties, including children. In Kyiv and Lviv, blackouts, casualties, and a healthcare system under pressure have been reported.

All of this happens in the silence of the European summer. And while the media uproar fades, the concrete need for stable, structured, continuous aid grows.

A war that changes its face, but remains cruel.

The intensification of the bombardments and Ukraine's intention to withdraw from the Ottawa Convention — in order to reuse antipersonnel mines — signal an escalating spiral: militarily, ethically, and humanitarianly.

Thousands of civilians risk being trapped in besieged territories. Evacuation routes are narrowing. And ambulances often become targets, not instruments of salvation.

Pobic's Emergency Transport: a concrete, silent, yet vital response.

Since 2014, Pobic is present in Ukraine with humanitarian interventions that covered all phases of the conflict, from the invasion of Crimea to the present emergency. We have done so consistently, without ever turning off the engines of solidarity.

Among the most urgent and indispensable projects today is the’Emergency Transport:

  • A network of emergency medical transport for children, the injured, chronically ill people, and vulnerable individuals.

  • Coordinated by local and international volunteers, operating in high-risk areas.

  • Essential for ensuring rapid evacuations, transport to hospitals still working and targeted medicine deliveries.

In a context where ambulances are deliberately targeted and bombings are multiplying, ensuring equipped vehicles, fuel, personnel and maintenance It has become an act of human resistance.

What can you do today?

Today, more than in the past, the’escalation of the conflict demands immediate answers. Pobic is there. But We need your help per:

  • Fund new mobile rescue units.

  • Ensure driving shifts and transport on increasingly dangerous routes.

  • Strengthen the emergency logistics and healthcare network.

EMERGENCY TRANSPORT

Our strength is making hope travel on four wheels. Donate a "little piece" of an ambulancetogether we can get the next vehicle on the road before the 2025 winter.

On the Pobic website, a dedicated campaign is active; it just takes 25 € to secure a first aid kit on board, €100 to replenish oxygen. Every contribution shortens the distance between those fleeing and timely rescue.
