The project Open Heart It is a humanitarian program of POBIC that helps children and girls with serious heart diseases in Africa and in the countries of Eastern Europe, By offering them the opportunity to access specialized care and pediatric cardiac surgery.

When the necessary treatments are not available in the country of origin, We accompany the children in Italy together with their mother. The treatment process takes place in the hospital facilities with which we have an agreement:’Giannina Gaslini Institute in Genoa and the’Integrated University Hospital Company of Verona. At the end of the treatment, we accompany them on their way home.

Support continues even after the intervention and the return to the country of origin, With the necessary medications and tests to continue the treatment process.

We propose to our supporters and friends to adopting the children we have accompanied in the care process remotely. It is possible to get to know them during their convalescence in Italy and continue to follow them after their return home, contributing to the care following the surgery and their school education.
