Simon prepares for heart surgery at gaslini hospital Mugisa Simon Jireh born on 17.03.2022 in Uganda was diagnosed with tetralogy of fallot a congenital heart disease. The family who was in desperate need of help due to their financial inability to support the surgery, for this reason contacted POBIC through volunteer John Bosco Sunday and John Bosco contacted our office in Italy. Pobic Italy, after having evaluated little Simon’s illness together with the medical team, admitted him to the Open Heart Pobic Uganda project. This project involves transfering the child to italy accommpanied by the mother and a volunteer to undergo the necessary treatment, all free of charge for the child and the family.  On 26.01.2023, baby Simon, his mother and one of our volunteers (Sunday John Bosco) arrived in Italy for Simons treatment at Gaslini Hospital, Genova.
